For Your Garden: The Lighted Palm Tree

When one thinks of the tropics, the first thing that comes to mind is the palm tree. It is the proverbial symbol of the sunny region, and is in the minds of those who yearn for warm weather and sunny skies. There are those who wish to grow palm trees of their own, but sadly, this is not always practical. Even though the palm tree is very resistant to cold, and very resilient, it takes a lot of effort and care to make them grow. A lighted palm tree can be a very good alternative.
Lighted palm trees are artificial versions of the real thing, made to either resemble them as closely as possible, or to just have the outline of a real tree. They can be built between 24 inches, to as high as 20 feet, and can be equipped with traditional colored light bulbs, rope lights, and LED lights. These artificial trees can be used purely as decorations, to add to the design and look of the area, or can be used to give soft ambient light for illumination.
Many of these trees can be used in conjunction with the proper fencing, especially for hotels and restaurants that wish to attract more customers. The proper garden fence style, coupled with bright palm tree light can definitely be a head-turner.
These trees are made of very strong materials and are durable and reliable. Underneath their shells are the circuitries needed to power the lights. For realistically-shaped trees, additional materials can be placed on top of the shell in order to mimic the trees further. The realism can also be augmented by adding rocks and other living plants on the base of the tree. All of these hide the surprise that is revealed when night comes and the lights are turned on.
So for those who wish to have a touch of the tropics in their surroundings, lighted palm trees are a very good and simple solution!
