How to Use Curtain Rods to Spruce Up Your Decor

If you prefer that your home would appear a little (or even a lot) different compared to everyone else’s, but your decorating whims are limited by a tight budget, curtains and valances can be used in various creative ways so that your decor will look quite unique and stunning. Here are some suggestions to help you get started as soon as possible.

Let’s begin in the bedroom. Most headboards for beds look quite similar and can be very costly. So why not hang home-made valances or curtains from a decorative curtain rod fitted above the bed on the wall? This can easily provide a distinctive flair to the area because you are only restricted by your wholly unique imagination as to the type and color of fabric that is used.

Staying in a bedroom, or perhaps the guest room, some long light colored or white sheets can be draped from rods put at strategic places to give the space a romantic, Arabic ambience.

Curtain rods are also great for suspending tapestries and large murals in different areas of the home. So if your desire is that your living area is attractively colorful and unique, and if you are adept at sewing, why not create a lively patchwork tapestry and attach it to a dull wall to liven up the area?

Or if your home has a large space and you prefer to partition it occasionally, what could be simpler than installing rods along the ceiling at the dividing lines, and draping curtains to split the area when you desire to?

Every one of these suggestions are uncomplicated enough to utilize, and will make your house look vivid and one-of-a-kind while exhibiting your creative flair. All that is necessary are some fabric and materials, some curtain rods and a creative imagination. So take some action and put those wonderful ideas to work!
