The Space Saving Corner Wardrobe

If you are finding yourself fairly short of space in your bedrooms you may want to consider either building or purchasing a corner wardrobe unit. You will find that the corner wardrobe is designed specifically with saving space in mind. While they are fairly small units it can be quite surprising how much space there is on the inside of corner wardrobes.
If you are buying a corner wardrobe, look for one that reaches up quite high as the extra space gained at the top of the wardrobe can be a real asset. While you would not necessarily want to place objects or clothing up high that you need to access on a regular basis, the top shelves of high wardrobes are great for storing winter (or summer) clothing, sleeping bags, extra linen and blankets, spare pillows, old business or school records that you need to keep, and just about anything else that you can think of.
A corner wardrobe can also be a great addition to a laundry room. Frequently space is fairly limited in laundry areas, yet there is always a need for a place to store detergents and cleaning materials, linen, towels, extra coat-hangers, laundry hampers and a multitude of other items. The corner wardrobe will provide you with ample storage space yet fit neatly into the corner of your laundry area.
Another prime location for a corner wardrobe is in your mud room. A mud room, for those of you not familiar with the term, is a space usually adjacent to a main entrance, where boots, shoes, coats, hats and mittens can be stored out of sight. It is a very useful area in any home, as you can store all matter of items there that need to be accessed fairly regularly; thus should not be relegated to the garage, but that you do not want in plain view. A corner wardrobe with its hanging space and shelving is ideal for this usually fairly small location.
