What Are The Different Sizes Of Mirror Tile?

Using mirror tiles can be a fun and fresh way to add decoration to a tiled wall. With adhesive mirror tiles, installation can often times be easy. When deciding to use mirror tiles for walls, it can sometimes be difficult to choose which size of tile is best for the project.
The standard size for mirrored tiles is generally 12”x12”. This is a pretty standard size for many tiles, whether it be floor or wall tiles. However, there are also bigger sizes of glass mirror tiles. 16”x16” and 18”x18” tiles are also available for tile mirrors, though they seem to be less common than the 12”x12” size.
An alternative to individual small mirror tiles, is a large piece of mirror which can be cut down. Many home improvement retailers sell large panels or slabs of mirrored glass pieces. These large pieces can then be cut down to the desired size or shape. This is a great idea for anyone who would like more custom pieces for their glass tiling needs.
When attempting to custom the size of mirrored tiles, a few tools will be necessary. A glass cutter will of course be needed. Gloves should always be used for protection. A measuring tape along with a straightedge and a clamp is necessary for accurate cutting. Planning is an important part of laying down mirror tiles so be sure to sketch out the plans for installation before starting any cutting. This will also help to make sure that the cuts are as precise as possible.
Tiling a wall is a classic form of décor, however, it can become a tedious project. When using mirror tile, it is always important to know the plans for the project before pursuing it. Understanding how much area needs to be covered is essential when trying to determine what size tiles to use.
